Library Plus

Waltham Forest wanted to promote the major transformation of the four key libraries in the borough to multimedia centres and encourage more residents to use these new facilities.

We created a completely new brand reflecting the modernisation which encompassed logo development, font usage, a colour palette and graphic approach. This work was carried forward to produce publicity materials and explore signage options for way finding and zoning. The new look and feel was a key aspect to how the council communicates to residents the improved variety of services and facilities the libraries now offers and urge them to look again.

Showing off to the trade

We have worked with Locata Housing Service for a number of years and first created their brand over ten years ago.

Since then Locata has grown into the largest provider of housing options in England working with 78 local authorities and over 200 housing bodies.

Whilst still fulfilling their original business of choice based lettings systems, their services have expanded greatly to include a whole suite of web-based products that provide the backbone for the housing options services their clients deliver.

To coincide with an upcoming trade show, Locata wanted to review their logo and create a new suite of marketing materials.

The logo needed to reflect their online expansion and include a sub-brand for their popular Exchange Locata service. This was rolled-out to stationery, a set of brochures with slip case, exhibition panels, roller-banners and advertising.

Euro 2016 Hospitality Website

Prestige Hospitality are the exclusive, official hospitality partners for Euro 2016 in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

We designed the first phase of the website which was intended to generate initial interest for those considering to take-up corporate hospitality at the event in France. Based on the official brand guidelines, the site details the levels of hospitality available at each match throughout the tournament. You can also follow the progress of all qualifying teams in their bid to become the 2016 champions and lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy.

The second phase of the website will see an eCommerce solution added so that hospitality packages may be bought directly through site.

Aerial Camera Systems

Aerial Camera Systems

It’s always great to work with a company who’s services are a little out of the ordinary, which is why we were particularly pleased to be asked to redesign the website for the Aerial Camera Specialists.

ACS are world leaders in supplying and operating specialist camera equipment to capture major events and festivals as well as filming on location around the globe. They can attach their cameras to helicopters, cars, boats, air balloons, wires running across the top of stadiums and rails along side tracks to bring you the stunning dynamic footage you now see at all top events.

Building on their existing brand, they wanted their new website to be responsive for all devices and have a stronger focus on the services they provide. Now the site is a modern clean environment where their clients can easily navigate to areas of interest and find information presented in a clear, concise format.

Mini-Holland

Mini-Holland

In 2015 Waltham Forest was successful in its bid for £30m to fund a Mini Holland cycling programme.

The funds received from the Transport for London tender were to radically improve the borough’s cycling infrastructure and support a step change in the number of local people choosing to cycle. The council expanded the brief to include Cycle Waltham Forest, Walk Waltham Forest and Enjoy Waltham Forest under the Mini Holland umbrella.

We were commissioned to design a brand to encompass all three aspects which would initially be used on a direct mail campaign going out to all residents in the borough. Subsequently, the campaign widened to feature publicity materials for numerous events including outdoor advertising and branded merchandise.

Adult College Prospectus

Adult College Prospectus

We’ve been working with the college helping them to produce their prospectus for over 20 years now.

This year we were tasked to come up with a design that conceptually portrayed the students progression and to make the prospectus stand out from the mass of other publications issued at the same time each year.

A dandelion made the perfect metaphor for the cover – the students learn together and when they complete the course they disperse and each apply their knowledge in pastures new. Creating a simple silhouette of the dandelion using only three striking colours produced just the distinctive look the client was hoping for.

The document was printed on uncoated stock to give a more tactile experience and this year was accompanied with an online page turner. The online version allows the viewer to browse the same as the physical version but also perform a search and print sections as required.

Child Sexual Exploitation thumbnail

Child Sexual Exploitation

Child Sexual Exploitation

With the all the recent tragic examples of child sexual exploitation cases in the news the council felt that an awareness campaign was needed to highlight the danger signs.

The campaign targets two specific audiences: The first is the victims themselves who are potentially unaware they are being abused along with parents, relatives and friends. Various scenarios are presented to them to help identify possible exploitation and encourage them to call Childline should they have any concerns.

Equally as important is the second target audience who are members of the public in jobs such as mini cab drivers or hotel workers who may come in to contact with potential victims of exploitation. The message highlights key indicators and urges them to ‘Say something if you see something’. Both strands of the campaign proved to be so successful that other London boroughs have asked for permission to adopt it.

Waltham Forest London Magazine

Waltham Forest London Magazine

Waltham Forest has fast become a desirable area for young professionals to move to and the council felt the time was right to promote the borough’s many positive aspects.

They decided to produce a quarterly magazine and deliver it to all residents and make it available at various outlets throughout the borough. The magazine provides a window into what life is like living and working in Waltham Forest. It highlights improvements the council is making in the borough and showcases the many interesting new artisan shops, bars and restaurants opened in the area.

We created a magazine with a contemporary, upmarket appearance containing features, interviews, business case studies and events.
