Mini-Holland

Mini-Holland

In 2015 Waltham Forest was successful in its bid for £30m to fund a Mini Holland cycling programme.

The funds received from the Transport for London tender were to radically improve the borough’s cycling infrastructure and support a step change in the number of local people choosing to cycle. The council expanded the brief to include Cycle Waltham Forest, Walk Waltham Forest and Enjoy Waltham Forest under the Mini Holland umbrella.

We were commissioned to design a brand to encompass all three aspects which would initially be used on a direct mail campaign going out to all residents in the borough. Subsequently, the campaign widened to feature publicity materials for numerous events including outdoor advertising and branded merchandise.

CTV Outside Broadcast

CTV Outside Broadcast

We were delighted to be asked to redesign CTV Outside Broadcast website.

CTV are one of the worlds leading outside broadcast companies, they work on renowned events around the globe such as the Olympics, the Ryder Cup and the Brit Awards to name a few. It had been some time since their website was reviewed and was looking tired and outdated.

Keeping to their existing brand, they wanted to the new site to reflect their positioning within the market and present the technical details for their fleet of vehicles in a more digestible format. The new site is engaging with a greater emphasis towards their social media and as it’s now responsive their SEO has improved too.

CTV have now merged with Telegenic to form EMG UK.

Quality of Life

Quality of Life

In response to the socio-economic changes and the increased number of events happening in the borough it was felt that residents should be reminded of the wide range of work carried out by Waltham Forest council.

To achieve this we created a campaign which highlights the councils role of maintaining street lighting, bin collections, street cleaning and all the other essential services residents expect, as well as it laying on free concerts, providing award winning galleries and free parks which are often taken for granted.

This campaign consisted of a suite of posters displayed on bus shelters and in the council’s newspaper to promote awareness. It culminated in the design and production of a what’s on guide to events last summer entitled Enjoy Life, more than just services to highlight all the improvements and services the council provides.

Adult College Prospectus

Adult College Prospectus

We’ve been working with the college helping them to produce their prospectus for over 20 years now.

This year we were tasked to come up with a design that conceptually portrayed the students progression and to make the prospectus stand out from the mass of other publications issued at the same time each year.

A dandelion made the perfect metaphor for the cover – the students learn together and when they complete the course they disperse and each apply their knowledge in pastures new. Creating a simple silhouette of the dandelion using only three striking colours produced just the distinctive look the client was hoping for.

The document was printed on uncoated stock to give a more tactile experience and this year was accompanied with an online page turner. The online version allows the viewer to browse the same as the physical version but also perform a search and print sections as required.
