Dating from 1885, Walthamstow has the longest outdoor market in Europe.
We were approached to create an identity to build more awareness and elevate it’s position in the market (no pun intended). The market has a vast range of stalls selling all manner of goods and research identified the humble carrier bag a unifying factor. This was carried through the design in different colours and styles to represent the variety of goods sold. The suite of marketing materials produced extended to stall banners, press advertising, promotional flyers and cotton shopper bags. The new look proved very popular with both stallholders and customers.
